“Arrest the killer [of Taniya Khaskheli] irrespective of his influence,” a spokesperson for the CM House quoted the chief minister as directing Sindh IG AD Khawaja during their visit to the victim’s house on Friday to offer condolences.
Murad also directed SSP Jamshoro to put the area SHO behind bars for his alleged involvement in supporting the killers.
The chief minister assured the grieving family that justice will be done.
Taniya was allegedly shot at point-blank range by landlord Khan Noohani for refusing to marry him. The landlord, along with his accomplices, had barged into the girl’s house last Saturday and killed her in front of her family members.

Her family members alleged that the landlord had attempted to kidnap her, but when she resisted, he shot her dead and fled.
In photos shared on social media, the young girl, a student of matric, can be seen dead on the floor in a pool of blood.
Reports pouring in revealed that the girl belonged to a poor family and had once left the village as the landlord was continuously pressuring them to give her to him.
“They had returned to the village a short while ago and this horrific incident happened,” Jamshoro police sources said.
Reports are rife that an influential family of the area is supporting the killers.

On the other hand, political parties and civil society members started protests and sit-ins in various towns and cities of Sindh for the arrest of the culprits and to award an exemplary punishment to them.
“The CM has conveyed a clear message to the IG to arrest the killers irrespective of their party or personal influence,” the spokesperson said, adding, “You will see the murderers behind bars soon.”
