According to the Hajj policy approved by the federal cabinet on Thursday, 180,000 Pakistanis will go for Hajj this year.
Out of these pilgrims, 90,000 will go on the government scheme while the rest will go through other registered companies.
The designated bank branches will collect the applications on a first-come-first-serve basis to ensure transparency in the process. Also, machine readable passport are deemed necessary for Hajj applications this time.
Hajj costs are divided into two categories according to the accommodation, costing either Rs200,000 or Rs212,000.
