Muslims all over the world are celebrating Eid either on Friday or Saturday, and sporting superstars are not impervious to the fervour.

Players from the Pakistan cricket team, scattered across the globe as they take part in various domestic leagues, were quick in taking to Twitter to wish their fans a happy Eid.

Pace spearhead Mohammad Amir, once again the darling of a nation after his heroics in the Champions Trophy final, has been impressing for Essex in his first-ever county stint and he was soaking in some English sun on Eid.

Mohammad Hafeez, another key member of that successful Champions Trophy win, is currently in the West Indies to play in the Caribbean Premier League, and he too wished everybody a happy Eid.

Amir's team, Essex, also joined in.

The Pakistan Cricket Board understandably didn't want to be left behind and linked a short video in which several players in Pakistan, including left-handed opener and man-of-the-match in the Champions Trophy final against India Fakhar Zaman, wished Pakistan Eid Mubarak.

It wasn't only the cricketing fraternity that decided to share the blessings of Eid though.

Aisamul Haq Qureshi and Muhammad Waseem, respectively the country's finest tennis and boxing players of all time, got in the act too.

Wishes poured in from outside of the country too.

South African pacer Wayne Parnell posted a picture alongside Hafeez and other cricketing stars as he celebrated Eid with them in the West Indies.

And the wishes kept on coming.
