GCWU’s e-Rozgaar Centre to be inaugurated today

Programme will impart skills for freelance self-employment in technical, non-technical and creative designing

LAHORE: The seventh Chief Minister's e-Rozgaar Centre will be inaugurated at the Government College Women University (GCWU) in Sialkot on Tuesday (today).

Govt allocates Rs2.7b for women empowerment

According to the PITB spokesman, the chief minister’s advisor, Chairman PITB and Information Technology University (ITU) Founding Vice Chancellor Dr Umar Saif will inaugurate the centre. GCWU Vice Chancellor Dr Farhat Saleemi will sign the MoU on the occasion.

The PITB registered 3,3105 applications from young graduates and candidates, selected on the basis of merit, will be given three months of training at 40 centres in three phases. The programme will impart skills for freelance self-employment in technical, non-technical and creative designing.

Conference encourages young women to work

Among these centres, five are dedicated for women candidates. In the first phase, 10,000 candidates, selected on merit through a transparent process, will be trained in three different batches during the current year.
