Ileana D’Cruz calls out male fans for harassing her during traffic jam

Bold and beautiful…That’s how we’ve seen Ileana D’Cruz ever since her Bollywood debut in Barfi! Therefore, it comes as no surprise how the rising star reacted when she was faced with a group of rowdy male fans during the promotions of her film Baadshaho recently.



Ileana and her team have been busy travelling across India promoting the latest release. And while the buzz surrounding Baadshaho has primarily been positive, some of the actor’s tweets suggest she has been dealing with some negativity too.

She recently lashed out against the misbehaving fans over Twitter saying, “It’s a pretty bad world we live in. I’m a public figure. I understand that I don’t have the luxury of a private and anonymous life. But that doesn’t give any man the right to misbehave with me. Don’t confuse “fan antics” with that. I am a WOMAN at the end of the day,” The Indian Express quoted her as tweeting.

Though Ileana did not reveal much about the actual incident that made her lash out, she shared that it happened when her car was stuck in traffic on the way to a fashion show in Mumbai.

“They started banging against the window, pressing themselves against the car, one of them even lying down on the top of the bonnet and laughing. I’ve been eve teased when I was younger, but I didn’t expect guys to misbehave to this level at this age,” she stated.

“They followed my car even after the signal turned green. It was like a power trip for them.”

Of course, the Rustom star didn’t step out of her car as she was without a bodyguard and had only the chauffeur with her for company. “They could have beaten him up and I wouldn’t have been able to stop them. So the only thing my chauffeur could do was honk while I ignored their antics,” Ileana shared.

“I don’t even know who they are. May be I’ll handle the situation differently if, God forbid, it happens again. But this time, I played it safe.”



In the past, there have been many cases of female celebrities being mistreated by male fans. Big names such as Vidya Balan and Swara Bhaskar have all complained about being harassed earlier.
Ileana fortunately is quite active on social media and often shares her pictures and experiences online, with her six million followers on Instagram.

Lately, there were reports that Baadshaho’s director has deleted an intimate sequence between its stars Ajay Devgn and Ileana before the board could raise any objection.
