Special team to investigate Pishin stop explosion

The team will include CTD, CIA and special branch representatives

QUETTA: A special team was formed on Tuesday to investigate the suicide attack on an army truck at the Pishin stop of Quetta city. DIG Quetta police formed a four-member special inquiry team to investigate the August 12 suicide bomb blast targeting security personnel.

The team will include CTD, CIA and special branch representatives which would be headed by SSP Investigation Dr Zahid. According to the DIG Quetta, it has also been decided to form a JIT to investigate the incident and the application has been sent to the interior ministry.

On the other hand, the three-member team of Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory has completed its work of gathering forensic evidence from the crime scene.

Forensic experts will examine the evidence and compare it with other suicide bombings that have taken place in Balochistan since last year.

Meanwhile, the investigation team has also received the CCTV footage to trace the location of facilitators.

The Pishin Stop suicide bomb blast killed 15 people, including ten army personnel.
