HARIPUR: Tarbaila Dam reservoir on Friday reached its maximum level of water storage resulting in increased power generation of 3,440 megawatts where all 14 power generation plants are working in full capacity. According to the Tarbela Dam officials, currently the water level is 1,545 feet while the maximum capacity is 1,550 feet which is expected to be filled in next week. Due recent heavy rains in upper parts of the country and owing to melting of snow the inflow in Tarbela Dam was recorded 283,600 cusecs. During the first week of the August water storage level of the dam also reached its highest level of the year and auxiliary spill ways of Tunnel 5 were opened to discharge extra water.
