The agencies carried out operations in various parts of the city and took three suspects into custody who belong the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Swat group.
On the basis of forensics reports from the crime scenes, investigators had believed that the same group of militants was behind the attacks.
According to sources within the Counter-Terrorism Department, the detained men have been identified as Nasir, Irfan and Liaqat who had targeted police in separate attacks in Korangi and Abul Hasan Isphahani Road.

Law enforcement authorities, including the Sindh IGP spokesperson did not confirm the arrests.
On July 24, the traffic police’s head constable Muhammad Khan was martyred and Constable Kamran was critically wounded when a gunman shot them while they were performing their duties at the traffic intersection near Paradise Bakery on Abul Hassan Isphahani Road.
Moreover, on July 21, three policemen were martyred when gunmen on a motorbike opened fire at a police van in Korangi. The attack also left a minor boy dead and a teenager injured.
