PESHAWAR: Days after Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider issued controversial remarks over the Supreme Court’s decision to disqualify Pakistan’s former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Wednesday submitted a resolution in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa assembly seeking his removal from office.

The resolution was submitted by PTI lawmaker Shaukat Yousufzai in the K-P assembly secretariat.

In the resolution, Yousafzai contended that the AJK premier had committed treason by suggesting that Kashmir can be annexed to any country other than Pakistan.

“His statement has hurt the feelings and sacrifices of thousands of Kashmiris,” Yousafzai stated in his resolution, adding that it also damaged the Kashmiri cause and has given an opportunity to the Indian media to negatively propagate against Pakistan.
