Women University introduces four new disciplines

50 regular plus five quota based seats had been allocated for the disciplines

MULTAN: The Women University, Multan (WUM) has launched four new disciplines and applications for admission will be sought from the current session.

Women University Registrar Professor Samina Saleem said on Wednesday the new disciplines included Environmental Sciences, Management Sciences, Mass Communication and Bio-Chemistry and Bio-Technology.

She said initially, 50 regular plus five quota based seats had been allocated for the disciplines. She added that seats might be increased keeping in view the number of applications.

In education: Committing to equality for women

The registrar pointed out this year, admission in four years BS programme would be offered, while the varsity would announce admissions in MPhil in the same discipline in 2018. She said degree in Bio-Chemistry and Bio-Technology would be considered for both of the subjects.

Regarding recently held syndicate, she said it had endorsed decisions taken by former vice-chancellor Dr Shahida Husnain before completion of her tenure.
