This was stated by Sindh Labour, Transport and Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah while addressing on Saturday a public gathering organised by the Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) Bengalis Action Committee in Machhar Colony.
Under directions by PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Bengalis living Machhar Colony and its adjoining areas will be given priority for all basic facilities because they are now permanent residents of Sindh, Shah said. The minister was of the view that after proper verification, computerised national identity cards (CNIC) for Bengalis would be made.

Besides this, education, health and other facilities would be provided to them on a priority basis.
During the gathering, Shaikh Feroze was nominated as the focal person to resolve the issue in coordination with the National Database and Registration Authority. "I promise that electricity will also be provided to you. We will talk to the power utility company to do justice with poor fishermen," he said.
