Unsettled issues: Young doctors meet at PMA office

KARACHI:

The joint action committee of doctors met representatives of the Young Doctors Association (YDA), Dr Abbas Shah and Dr Azizullah, at PMA House on Friday.

The joint action committee comprised members of the Pakistan Medical Association, Pakistan Doctors Forum, Pakistan Islamic Medical Association, Medical Aid Committee and others.

The committee supported the demands of the young doctors and assured them of their support at every stage.

It was decided that no patients, especially those seeking emergency services, will be neglected during the protests.

The joint action committee of doctors will soon hold a news conference while the young doctors are expected to meet the Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah soon. Shah has formed a four-member committee, comprising the health and finance ministers, a PMDC representative and the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University vice-chancellor, to resolve their issues.
