Heavy downpour could generate flash flooding in nullahs, streams

MULTAN: The Met office on Monday predicted that a new spell of monsoon rains will begin in most parts of South Punjab in the next few days.

A Met official said light to heavy rains were expected in Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Sargodha and Bahawalpur.

Heavy rains claim seven lives in South Punjab

He added, “We expect the rainfall activity to increase and there would be heavy downpour which could generate flash flooding in nullahs, streams among others.”
