Barring a few geniuses, no one gave Pakistan a chance against England in their 2017 ICC Champions Trophy semi-final in Cardiff on Wednesday.

But Sarfraz's men did do the unthinkable, trouncing their mighty English counterparts by eight wickets.

As expected, Twitter was abuzz with current and ex-cricketers giving their two cents on a result very few saw coming.

The result may have been an upset to some, but not to England's very own Kevin Pietersen, who has a firsthand experience of Pakistan's cricket talent.

Sri Lankan great Kumar Sangakkara was clearly impressed.
