FAISALABAD: University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said on Saturday that injudicious use of inputs, poor techniques and effects of climate change are adversely affecting crops in the country. During a media briefing, Khan said that 60% of water and inputs in agricultural fields were being wasted due to imbalance in their usage and unavailability of modern technologies. He added that climate change was also wreaking havoc with crop production in Pakistan and threatening food security. Meanwhile, the vice chancellor thanked US-Pakistan Centre for Advanced Studies which has commissioned research work in the field of agriculture.
