The recipe was inside an old scrapbook belonging to the Colonel’s second wife, Claudia. Inside the scrapbook was a duplicate of Claudia’s will and testament, on the back of which was a recipe for a fried chicken spice blend. “That is the original 11 herbs and spices that were supposed to be so secretive,” Ledington told Jones.
When contacted later, Ledington was hesitant to admit the recipe is the original, however, after testing the recipe, Chicago Tribune claims it’s the ‘real deal’.
