A Japanese Speech Contest was held at the National University of Modern Languages on Monday among the diploma and certificate level students of a Japanese language course at the varsity. The contest had been organised by the Japanese Language Department of NUML. M Ilyas secured the first position while Mohsin Khan got the second position and Saad Rehman got the third position in the speech contest. Japanese Ambassador Takashi Kurai said that he was very impressed the way the students had delivered their speeches, performed skits and songs in a foreign language.
