SARGODHA: A court awarded death sentence to an accused for his involvement in a murder case in Sargodha on Wednesday.

The judgment was announced by Additional District and Sessions Judge Erum Ayaz. The prosecution told the court that accused Muhammad Aslam, resident of Bhera, had gunned down his friend Muhammad Nawaz over a minor dispute.

Uzair Baloch, brother acquitted in attempted murder case

The local police registered a case against the accused and presented the challan before the court. After hearing the arguments, the judge handed down death sentence to the accused along with a fine of Rs2 million as compensation money. The accused was sent to District Jail Sargodha.

Earlier in March 2017, court awarded death sentence to Misal Khan for murdering Muzaffar Khan, over a minor issue on March 25, 2014.
