Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry headed the bench which heard the review petition.
The petition was filed against awarding of punishment to eight civilians on charges of instigating and plotting a suicide attack on former President Pervez Musharraf.
During the hearing, two of the convicts Khalid and Mushtaq asked the apex court to reverse their death sentence on the grounds that they could not be tried under the Army Act but the court refused to do so.
The court asked Defense Counsel Hashmat Habib to produce the record of the trial of two other convicts by the army court.
Habib said that civilians cannot be prosecuted under Army Laws.
The hearing was adjourned till April 6.
