QUETTA: Six personnel of paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) sustained injuries on Tuesday in two separate terror attacks in Kech district of restive Balochistan.

The first incident occurred near Naing River of Kech’s Tump area, where armed militants ambushed an FC convoy which was returning after carrying out search operations at Tump, Phul Abad, Koshkalat, Kohad and Malant areas of the district.

According to reports, five FC personnel suffered injuries during exchange of fire. They were later shifted to hospital where they were identified as Sepoy Aslam, Sepoy Kashif, Sepoy Haji Khan, Sepoy Minwar Iqbal and Sepoy Zulqarnain.

Separately, an FC operative sustained injuries when unknown armed motorcyclists opened fire on him in the Hoshap area of Kech district, some 100 km from Turbat city. The attackers fled the scene unchallenged after committing the crime.

In another episode, an explosion was reported in Dera Bugti area of Balochistan. The roadside blast occurred near a passenger vehicle. However, all passengers remained unhurt.
