The man was among three people killed and three others injured in separate violent incidents on the outskirts of the capital.
The first violent incident took place on Mehfooz Shaheed Road in Lohi Bher.
Cattle trader Qadir had been intercepted by robbers. When he tried to resist them, the robbers opened fire at him. As a result, Qadir died on the spot while two other people were also injured.

However, after the murder both Sihala and Lohi Bher police claimed that the incident did not take place in their jurisdiction and referred it to the other station. This apparently led to a slow response from the police to the incident.
Protesting against police inefficiency and poor law and order, locals took to the street and blocked the Kahuta Road.
It was not until DSP Malik Naeem assured the protesters that he would immediately set up a police check post in the area and arrest the killers within three days that the protesters dispersed.
Later, police said they had managed to identify the suspected robbers. However, till the filing of this report, the suspects had yet to be arrested.

Street crime has been on the rise in the capital. Earlier this week, two street criminals fled after snatching the handbag of a visiting Canadian senator of Pakistani origin. Police though have claimed to have arrested the suspects involved in the incident but has yet to recover the money and other valuables which were in the handbag.
Armed clash
Meanwhile, two men were killed in an armed clash between two groups in Bani Gala on Saturday afternoon.
Police said a dispute arose between two groups in the Nogazi area over a wall which had been erected.
During the clash, two relatives Nadeem and Rizwan were killed.
Another man, identified as Adnan, had to be rushed to the Polyclinic hospital with critical injuries which he had suffered in the same clash.
