Large cache of weapons seized in Miranshah: ISPR

Recovery is part of ongoing campaign to cleanse North Waziristan of weapons and explosives

Security forces along with political administration, on Thursday, recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from Miranshah, North Waziristan Agency.

Special army units of 499 Army engineers unearthed the cacje left by terrorists after Operation Zarb-e-Azb from Boya area of tehsil Miranshah.

The recovery is a part of ongoing campaign in the mountainous region to cleanse the agency of all weapons and explosives.

According to the statement released by the military's media wing, over 107,400 of different types of small and medium-calibre weapons, 150 rounds of bullets, 10 missiles and four improvised explosive devices have been recovered from different parts of NWA in April so far.
