The cause of the fire has yet to be ascertained while no loss of life was reported.
According to the fire brigade spokesperson, the fire broke out at the Shafiq Tyre godown near PAF Base Masroor at around 12:54am on Tuesday.
Reacting on information, fire tenders from the government, Karachi Port Trust and Pakistan Navy immediately reached the site and participated in the fire extinguishing work, the spokesperson added.

The fire was so intense that it engulfed the entire godown area rapidly, he said.
A large contingent of law enforcers also reached the site to help the firefighters in extinguishing the blaze.
Mauripur police officials said the cause of the fire has yet to be ascertained while initial investigation suggests that it broke out accidentally.
Police officials said a case would be registered if any criminal act was found during the inquiry.

The entire warehouse was gutted in fire and firefighters were able to control it only after a hectic effort of some hours, said the fire brigade spokesperson, adding that the cooling process continued till the evening.
He confirmed there was no loss of life during the incident.
