Local media reports suggested that after local residents registered their protest when the Corps Commander Peshawar visited the agency.
The locals of the Shia community apprised him of the deteriorating security situation in the agency, asking the military’s top leadership in Peshawar to make special security arrangements.
Anyone who is not a permanent resident of the agency is required to undergo strict security checks and register themselves besides filing the reason for visiting the agency and provide their contacts in the agency.

Check posts have been mounted all along the main road as security forces started excavating all dirt roads leading inside the agency in addition to fencing the border with Afghanistan, reports stated.
Local residents have welcomed this move and urged the federal government to provide adequate financial assistance to everyone who lost their businesses in the previous two blasts in the agency.
