OKARA: Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) President Zulifqar Ali has said the lawyers should avoid the strike culture as it delays court proceedings.

He added it is important that all the bar associations struggle to promote professional skills with moral and ethical values.

Zulfiqar Ali expressed these views while addressing the lawyers of the District Bar Association (DBA) at the oath taking ceremony of its office bearers on Thursday.

Earlier, District & Sessions Judge Baidar Bakhat administered oath to the DBA office bearers.  Meanwhile, the district bar association continued to observe strike in courts for the fifth consecutive day in protest against the registration of FIR and police raids at the houses of four advocates.

Earlier on March 25, thrashed ASI Aslam Javed outside the court of ASJ Raja Safdar. Later, the police registered a case against them.
