LAHORE: The Combined Military Hospital Lahore’s medical college held on Saturday its 5th convocation, where Lahore Corps Commander Lt Gen Sadiq Ali was the chief guest.

He said Pakistan Army besides performing its role as the defender of national frontiers had always been at the forefront in terms of its contribution for national development.

He said the effective role of army medical corps during natural calamities and military operations has been laudable. He also emphasised that physical, mental and social health forms the basis of a strong nation and provision of appropriate health services to the common man must be a national priority.

He stressed the need to have greater faith in the younger generation as the future belonged to them. “We have to collectively put in efforts to give our next generation a conducive environment to help them apply their knowledge and creativity to achieve optimum effects for national growth,” he was quoted as saying.

He commended the role of CMH Lahore Medical College in providing quality health education. Later, he awarded degrees and medals to the graduating students.
