In the limits of village council Dingi, police told on Friday.
Ghulam Haider, a resident of Mohra Maliya village, in Dingi, told police that his wife went to attend a marriage ceremony in the village while he had gone to bring his daughter back from school.
Upon his return, he found locks to two of his rooms in the house broken indicating that someone had broken into the house.
He added that around Rs100,000 in cash and 81.25 grammes of his wife’s jewellery had gone missing, presumably stolen by the thieves who had broken into the house.
The complainant suspected Rizwan a resident of the same village, for burgling his house.
The Kot Najibullah police have registered a case against Rizwan under section 380 of the PPC but have yet to arrest the suspect, police said.
