London is not famous as the friendliest city in the world. It really isn’t. Famed for their frigidity Londoners have made a new record.

A new survey titled "unbroken Britain" has revealed that London is the least friendly city in the UK. The survey conducted by Provident Personal Credit asked 2,642 people to rate how they felt about their neighbourhoods. The findings did not put London in the best light.



Londoners managed a meagre rating of 6.44 out of 10 for friendliness, defeating Oxford (6.45), Portsmouth (6.51) and Chelmsford (6.58) to take the last spot. However, the survey revealed that ‘things are starting to improve for the residents of London”. The city has seen an increase in safety along with upkeep and happiness. Although it still doesn’t compare with other cities, it’s an improvement.

On the other hand, with a score of 7.47 out of 10, York claimed the title of most friendly city in the UK. Gloucester and Swansea became the second and third friendly cities in the UK with scores of 7.32 and 7.31 respectively.
