The National Assembly turned into a bedlam on Thursday as a fight broke out between lawmakers of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the Parliament’s lobby.

According to Express News, the fight broke out when PML-N MNA Mian Javed Latif commented on PTI chief Imran Khan’s recent controversial remarks regarding the foreign players participating in Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in Lahore.

“When a party leader uses such language against foreign players what can we expect from its workers,” Latif reportedly said in the Parliament. On this, PTI lawmakers, including Murad Saeed, protested and the House was dismissed due to the mayhem.

How Imran changed tack on PSL final

After the assembly session ended, the PTI lawmaker approached Latif in the Parliament lobby and warned him against using abusive language for his party leader. The ruling party’s lawmaker, however, slapped Saeed before other parliamentarians could mediate.

Later, talking to Express News, the PML-N MNA denied reports of him slapping the PTI lawmaker but admitted there was a verbal spat between the two inside the House. “Saeed said words against my leadership which I responded to,” Latif said.

“When I tried to raise this matter in the assembly, the speaker interrupted me twice and allowed me to speak at the intervention of the opposition members. Then Javed Latif stood up and everyone knows what he said about me and my leader,” Saeed said adding, “PML-N MNA branded us a traitor and later, he resorted to abusive remarks against me.”

ET, i think the report needs to be substantiated. Didn’t all the available videos of the incident shows Mr. Murad Saeed leaping forward to attack and slap Mr. Javed Latif- which he misses and then leaves the place of incident shouting and threatening to sort him out. Whether there was another episode of the brawl too? The report is totally silent on that.Recommend

The PML and the Sharifs are desperate to divert attention from the theft of trillions to of the cuff by silly remark by IK. I am not a PTI SUPPORTER but the Sharifs need to show the receipts for the their investments abroad. No diversion will work!Recommend

PML-N people are desperate and frustrated over the panama case as go nawaz go slogan has become popular everywhere. The same slogan was heard in PSL Final Lahore and will be heard during elections 2018. Recommend
