MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir government and security agencies on Wednesday decided to enhance coordination between all security agencies and local police to better implement the National Action Plan.

The first meeting since the military launched a fresh operation against terrorism, codenamed Radd-ul-Fassad, it was chaired by AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider and attended by key security officials including General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 12th Division Major General Azhar Abbas and other military and civil officials.

The meeting discussed the progress of the National Action Plan (NAP) and law and order situation in the valley.

It also reviewed the progress made since the last apex meeting held in August 2016.

The committee decided that coordination between all security agencies and police should be further enhanced to ensure the implementation of NAP in the region. The apex committee also appreciated the launch of operation Radd-ul-Fassad to eliminate terrorism.
