Saaf Pani Programme: Govt will provide potable water: CM

Punjab CM says provision of clean drinking water to the people is top priority of the government

LAHORE: Provision of clean drinking water to the people is top priority of the government and the public welfare programme is directly related to human health. This was said by Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif while presiding over a meeting on Monday. The meeting reviewed feasibility studies, models and other matters of Saaf Pani Programme.

On the occasion, the chief minister said, “A lot of time has already been wasted with regards to implementation of the programme. However, now the project will be undertaken at a speedy pace.” He directed the officials to present final plan regarding launching of Saaf Pani Programme in 37 tehsils within one week. Shehbaz instructed the authorities concerned that water testing and survey work should be completed on emergent basis.
