Pakistani murdered by protesters in Manama

Pakistanis living in Manama claim Malik was killed by protestors.

MANAMA:

A Pakistani man was brutally murdered by protestors in Bahrain, while four others were wounded in a separate attack on Sunday, reported the Express 24/7.

Thirty-year-old Abdul Malik was on his way to buy food when he was fatally attacked Sunday evening in Manama. The Pakistani embassy in Bahrain has confirmed his death. Pakistanis living in Manama claim Malik was killed by protestors.

In a separate incident, four Pakistanis sustained stab wounds after confrontation with an armed youth in Naim. The Pakistani community in Bahrain has demanded protection following these incidents of violence.

d3pth | 13 years ago | Reply To all those people who have been hearing the news about protests in Bahrain and believing all that they hear, here is a reality check. All those news channels are SO FAKE and MISLEADING that they should be sued for spreading such horrible things about the wonderful ruling family of Bahrain, and the so-called "peaceful" protestors. There was nothing peaceful about what the protestors did. They did things that are frightful to even think about, just because they wanted the government to fulfill their demands. And what demands exactly did they want to be met? Equal rights? Better living standards? Good education? Good jobs? Good salary? Scholarships? Oops! THEY ALREADY HAVE ALL THESE THINGS. It's hard to imagine what else could they possibly be complaining about. In fact, the UN itself came to assess their living conditions and declared that all of their rights and demands are being met very well! And they still protested for better things. The government was so lenient to them, allowing them to have their demonstrations wherever they liked; not to mention, allowing them ALL of their religious freedom throughout these years. Not once did they interrupt them when they were asking for their demands. Not once did they tell them that the protestors had no right to ask for what they need. They patiently listened to all the criticism thrown at them and offered the protestors to sit and have a dialogue with them, so that they can speak out exactly what they want. The government was ready to increase their salaries up to 30 to 40 percent! Their living standards, which were already so great, were going to be even better, if only they had agreed to have a dialogue. But they (protestors) didnt. They chose to be violent and do things that can make a person's hairs stand up in fright. They tortured soo many innocent people in ways that must be considered unforgivable. They attacked the security and ran cars over them, cut their fingers, and did many other terrible things. THEN and ONLY then did the government decide that enough is enough and this has to be stopped. THEN came the brave army from Saudi Arabia to PROTECT the beautiful land of Bahrain. THEN my Pakistani brothers risked their lives to protect the citizens of Bahrain from further danger. THEN the Bahrain citizens were finally able to sleep peacefully at night. You see, the protestors didn't really want better living conditions. All they wanted was to topple the government so that they could have a ruler from their own sect. But I must say, NO other ruler could have EVER been as wonderful and great as the current one. The present ruling family not only respects all religions and sects within the religions, but also gives them absolute freedom to practice their faith and have their rituals. They never thought of Bahrain as being divided into different sects, but always loved them like their own children. Which is why the Saudi army entered Bahrain to protect the beautiful land, and NOT to "invade" it, as many of the news channels put it. And for all this bravery that the Saudi, Pakistani, Syrian, and other countries' army showed, my heart overflows with prayers and gratitude. You are not killing the innocents, but are protecting the innocents from violent protestors. May Allah bless you and keep you away from all dangers. You are very important to the people of Bahrain, and very much needed right now. I respect all religions and sects, and do not mean to offend any one. I'm sorry if I did. Peace!

Mrs. A | 13 years ago | Reply All the people above seem to be living in their own worlds! It is all shameful but WAKE UP AND REALISE what really is happening!!!!! Grasp the bigger picture. WHO IS THE BLACK SHEEP calling themselves Muslims! Bahrain was a peaceful place, healthy resources, standard living, state--of-the-art infrastructure--why in the world any community planned to protest ALL OF A SUDDEN??? Creating a sect is in itself the destruction of peace--and that is what they are intended to do since their formation. It's high time to realise this. Who do you think are the top lobbies of Pakistan???? The President--to be exact??? Read the Qur'aan and save the religion for Allah's sake.

Ameer Hamza | 13 years ago | Reply As far as I understand this issue, the protesters are Shia majority fed up with Sunni-Wahabi government. No wonder these Shias are hitting on Pakistanis. They consider most Pakistanis as Sunnis and as government militia employs. Hence all this violence. And I am sure about Iran's involvement. They see it as a golden chance to bring in Shia government. No wonder Saudi-Wahabis are sending in troops with active support from US government. And you won't see much about violence being presently conducted by Bahrani government. Shame on our media and on international media on misleading facts.

alex | 13 years ago | Reply Dear people, It appears to me that pakistani people are becoming victims as a result of this instability in bahrain. The protesters need to realise these people were just working to feed their families, the ones who are guilty of inequality are your leaders so you should hold them accountable. I am sure there are many pakistanis working in the healthcare saving lives of Bahrains people, are they going to be arrested by protesters also? Every country belongs to every person living in that country regardless of your colour religion ethnicity. That why everybody g in a country breaths air, eats food, sleeps and when he/she dies takes nothing with them not even the country or land they fight to die for. The shiates have been discrimated by the elite in your country, by discrimating against pakistani nationals what makes me feel your same as your leaders when you get the chance you also supress. It is your leaders who have created these systems to suppress your people so dont take your angry on normal pakistani people, its not fair, democratic or humane to just get brutally attached for being pakistan or any other ethnic group.

Aftab | 13 years ago | Reply since sitation is getting bad in Bahrain, i have a confirmed report that our Embassy has helped move families to Pakistani school as well Pakistan Club for safety reasons as Shia thughs were out to harm people in general and Pakistanis in particular for no reason, do u call this peacefull demonstration when u occupy the roads and start killing innocent people. shame on these rouge protesters.

The thing is that bahraini citizens (shia & sunna) are protesting peasefully to get democracy and to get their stolen rights but the protesters are faced by all kinds of weapons by the government security forces(many of them are pakistanis). The government here is playing a very dirty game by making militias of mercenaries who are assigned to creat tumult between citizens. unfortunately some of theses mercenaries are pakistanis, they have been exploited by the government. the militias are attacking everybody sothe pakistani victim may be attached by the mercenaries or he is one of the them and in both cases I think he is a victim, but the pakistani empassy in bahrain should aware its people not to involve in this and be away.

The Pakistani and the Banglageshe were caught by civlians in Manama Neigbourhood because they were trying to attack the Bahraini ppl homes. They were pakistani origins but with Bahraini passports because they work for the police sectors. So they attack the peaceful women and children in Manama. I have seen the pictures of their ID card on a web site they work for ministry of interior. This is the absolute truth "Allah Qassam".

Look at the anger in our country over a foreign American security contractor killing 2 of our countrymen. In their country Pakistani security contractors have killed and injured hundreds. 90% shia in Bahrain but 10% suni in govt . I think No future of pakistanis in bahrain come back in pakistan save your lives .

They will send report to Islamabad that they have done this and done this for safety of Pakistan but it will be only paper work. For this and this a large bill amount will be sent to Pakistan for Pakistan. They can not even talk with the local Government that if it can not save Pakistanis then allow the Pakistanis to defend themselves by keeping wooden sticks or kitchen knives with them to defend themselves from room attackers. Pakistanis can well defend themselves and even the "local government" even with this small defence toys. But our Embassy has more important work to deal like School issues and many such other similar things need not mention here.

Now the life of 50,000 pakistanis living in nBahrain is at stake. The only solution to this dangerous problem is that, Pakistani government should apologise formally from the Bahraini people for the brutalities its troops have done their. Secondly it shloud withdraw all pakistanis associated with bahrain,s army or police. In this way the remaining civil workers of pakistani nationality will feel safe. Otherwise the expected successful revolution in Bahrain will make pakistan pay a price, too heavy to afford. please spread the word.

Javed | 13 years ago | Reply I am living in Bahrain and the situation in Bahrain is a lot worse that this story suggests. I have seen pictures of the dozens of people that were brutally attacked by mobs yesterday with my own eyes. These so called "peaceful protesters" not only attacked poor, random Pakistanis on the streets, they forced their way into Pakistanis' HOMES and attacked them with knives, clubs, pipes and swords and the victims had the scars to show for it! They inflicted heavy injuries, beat them to near death and left them lying in pools of blood for hours before the government came to their rescue. I have seen these "vigilantes" with my own eyes and almost had to run for my life to avoid one of these pipe/stick/sword wielding mobs yesterday AND today. You have NO IDEA how it feels to be REVILED by a MUSLIM (who has some valid reasons to protest against Pakis by the way) just because of your PASSPORT. None. And to top it the Bahraini government cares the LEAST about Pakistanis living here despite using them for all of their dirty work here for ages because it gives them a great opportunity to use the fact that youth mobs are attacking Pakistanis/Syrians to crack down on the local (majority Shia) protesters. A couple of dozen dead Pakistanis mean nothing to them other than good photo evidence to hunt more Shia people). The Pakistani Embassy/Ambassador doesn't give a damn too (as is expected from any Paki govt official) and as far as I know they haven't even requested for protection for Pakistanis or even registered a strong protest with the ruling family because they are both lying pretty in their dirty beds - it is no secret that (some) Pakistanis have been systematically used to suppress the local Shia population and therefore there is a lot of hatred towards us over here, hence them attacking us now. @m. salman (and other IDIOTS) who think this is a good time to get a "job" here in Bahrain and earn some dinars, have some bloody SHAME! Because of idiots like you that sign up to do the Bahraini government's dirty job here, us NORMAL Pakistanis with NORMAL jobs who work hard and (till now) have had a brilliant relationship with all locals/expats here are fearing for our LIVES! How would you feel if I came to your city to do some odd job and that in-turn caused the local people in your city to literally HUNT for you, drag you out of your HOME, and attack you with swords and knives until they think you're dead?
