“Maryam is the beneficial owner of London flats and we will submit fresh evidence before the apex court in this regard soon,” said a PTI source, who was part of the party chief Imran Khan’s consultations with his legal team on Thursday.
London flats possibly acquired by Qatari family using Sharif money: SC
The PTI chief Imran Khan and senior PTI leaders met with the party’s legal team at Jahangir Tareen’s residence. The PTI’s lead counsel Naeem Bukhari was also present. The PTI leaders exchanged views on various aspects of the hearing.
According to a statement, evidences presented by the Sharif family’s lawyers were also discussed in the meeting. Imran instructed to formulate extensive strategies regarding hearing of Panamagate case. It was also decided to highlight the flaws in Sharif family’s arguments both inside the court and in public.
Legal experts believe that all the evidences, submitted by the PTI with regard to ownership of flats by Maryam, are not admitted documents as respondents are denying them. Likewise, it is needed to prove their authenticity. They say the court is unlikely to rely on disputed documents in this case as the Sharif family has already contended that these documents are forged.

A PTI lawyer also admitted that if the PTI legal team fails to prove dependency of Maryam on her father, then their stance about ‘her beneficial ownership’ will not have legal implications on the PM’s disqualification.
It is an admitted fact that Maryam was not mentioned as dependent on the PM in his nomination papers, submitted in general elections 2013. He said the PTI should have done more work to establish their earlier stance that Sharif family owned the London flats in 1993.
