Advisory panel: PTI forms 16-member council for central Punjab  

Competition is expected in Central Punjab in the next general elections

LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced a 16-member advisory council for Central Punjab the region’s President Abdul Aleem Khan gave his approval on Tuesday.

Addressing a session of the council, the PTI leader said the actual competition was expected in Central Punjab in the next general elections. The advisory council has been constituted to further strengthen the party, he said, adding the panel would propose election reforms and suggest candidates from their respective districts.

Aleem said the PTI was considering various aspects in formulating its political strategy for the next general elections, adding the party knew the names of people who had been holding people of Punjab hostage for the last many years. “Every citizen of Pakistan is struggling for a corruption-free system in the country under the leadership of PTI Chairman Imran Khan,” he added.
