Khan | 14 years ago | Reply In a recent newspaper Kanwar Dilshad, the former secretary Election Commission of Pakistan, admitted that 148 MNAs and MPAs are feared to be holding fake degrees. Obviously the Election Commssion did nothing on receipt of such information. It just goes to show that only weak and gutless people are usually appointed to the Election Commssion. Once I had the occasion to meet with a now retired Election Commissioner while he still held office. It was embarrasing to see how non-commital he was on any issue of consequence. It soon became rather apparent that, as a retired member of the judiciary, his only concern was to hang on to the perks of the job and the importance that that came with it.

So according to my view, decision makers/law makers must be qualified not fake degree holders.
