Enhancing cooperation: PM for improving ties with Uzbekistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Uzbekistan need to make efforts to enhance cooperation in the economic and commercial fields and fully exploit the huge potential for mutual trade emphasised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. According to a press release issued on Friday, Nawaz expressed these views during his meeting with the Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ulugbek Rozikulov, who called on him at the PM House. Premier Nawaz also invited Uzbekistan to join CPEC. Ulugbek thanked the PM for the warm welcome extended to the visiting delegation in Pakistan. The Deputy Prime Minister also extended an invitation to PM Nawaz on behalf of the Uzbek President to visit Uzbekistan. The PM Nawaz accepted the invitation. Separately, the deputy PM also met President Mamnoon Hussain at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
