ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Mayor and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Sheikh Anser Aziz on Saturday said that the civic body would prioritise development of neglected residential sectors. While visiting Sectors I-11 and I-12 on Saturday, he said that allottees in these areas had been ignored for the past 30 years. He assured residents that funds to complete development works in Sector I-11 would be released soon and directed the relevant departments to complete work in the stipulated time. He also inspected the dual-carriageway which is being built in the sector and directed officials to complete it as soon as possible. He was told that since the five kilometre -long road would be used by heavy traffic, they were using concrete to build it at a cost of Rs200 million. The construction started on June 24, 2016 and is expected to be completed next year in July.
