Ties With Terrorists: CTD arrests police operative

Official was arrested for his alleged ties with terrorists in the city

KARACHI: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Sindh police has arrested a man, who worked for the police, for his alleged ties with terrorists in the city.

The CTD officials arrested a locater operator, identified as Irfan, on a tip-off from an intelligence agency. The CTD said that the locater operator had closed ties with the terrorists and informed them about the raid beforehand.

This resulted in the loss of lives of many CTD officials and personnel during raids. CTD in-charge Raja Omar Khattab confirmed the arrest and said that the locater operator has been taken into custody while further investigation was underway.
