350 Pakistanis arrive from Libya

A chartered plane carrying 180 Pakistanis reached Lahore from Libya on Tuesday morning.

A Turkish construction company in Libya had hired two chartered airplanes to extradite its 350 Pakistani workers back home.

The first flight brought 170 Pakistanis last night, while the second one reached Lahore this morning.

The Turkish company also gave $250 to each Pakistani as travel expenditure.

The expats told the media at the airport that their countrymen in Libya are in deep trouble owing to the law and order situation.

They also complained that the Pakistani embassy did not contact them.

But what can you expect from a government which has co-operated with the US in the murder of its own citizens, allowed US to dictate to it, allowed the kidnap, torture and murder of its citizens. Zardari/Ghilani duo are traitors who need to be removed. Pakistan needs a strong government which embodies the Islamic values of the people. Enough secular, corrupt politicians who would sell their own mothers.

Bilal | 13 years ago | Reply As always, Pakistani embassy usually fails to assist people in times of need. Pakistan should abolish having embassies everywhere, they only use up funds and do nothing for the common man. Instead the should have visa on arrival for major countries for a fee, and reroute all the other visa apps online. Glad to hear that the Turkish company treated the workers with care and even gave them money as travel expenditure.

I know it cos my sister n her husband just reached home safely, not with the help of Pakistani, but Turkish govt. And this chartered flight is way late than it should really be.
