Rehman to miss Canada match

COLOMBO: Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Abdul Rehman has been ruled out of the match against Canada on Thursday as he has been advised a week’s rest by the doctors.

Rehman injured his leg in Pakistan’s 11-run win over Sri Lanka and bowled with a strapping, finishing with one for 63.

Meanwhile, Misbahul Haq may also be rested despite his MRI coming out clear on an injured hamstring. The team management might rest fast-bowler Shoaib Akhtar as well  after the bowler admitted he was not fully fit.

Team manager Intikhab Alam, while ruling Rehman out, confirmed that a decision on the playing eleven will be taken on the morning of the match.
