Shoaib Malik’s unbeaten 67-run knock went in vain as his side, Chittagong Vikings, were unable to defend the 112-run target against Rajshahi Kings in their Bangladesh Premier League encounter yesterday.

Malik was the only batsman from his side to walk out with his head held high as his 54-ball stay included three sixes and six boundaries while no other batsman was able to cross the 13-run mark.

Fruitful day for Pakistanis in BPL

Imran Khan did try to do his part by taking two wickets but the target proved too easy for the Kings, who cantered to a six-wicket win.

In the other match, Shahid Afridi claimed two wickets to help in Rangpur Riders’ 29-run win over Barisal Bulls.
