LAHORE: Provision of justice is essential in a society and no culture can progress without justice, said Lahore High Court Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah.

“Justice is not the name of court but of a thought,” he said, while addressing some students visiting the district & sessions court to learn about the judicial system. The students were from Aitchison College, Lahore Grammar School and City School, among others.

The chief justice stressed upon not using the word ‘disabled’ for special children, requesting people to instead refer to them as ‘persons with different abilities’.

The visit came as part of the ongoing 150th anniversary celebrations of the Lahore High Court.

Judges of the LHC, district and sessions judge Nazir Ahmed Gajana, additional district and sessions judges and civil judges were also present. CJ Shah later invited the students to tea at the Lahore High Court.
