The bureau has also introduced a Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) for better career planning and human resource development. NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, while reviewing the overall performance of Bureau at a meeting on Monday, said ten-month timelines for NAB operations have been introduced – two months for complaint verification, four months for inquiry, and four for investigation. The other initiatives included revision of the standard operating procedures (SOP), introduction of quantified grading system for objective performance evaluation, establishment of three regional bureaus in Multan, Sukkur and Gilgit-Baltistan, establishment of a forensics laboratory, introduction of an internal accountability mechanism (IAM) and introduction of a monitoring and evaluation system (MES).
Chaudhry said the bureau has constituted prevention committees in the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Ministry of Religious Affairs, Agriculture and National Food Security, National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR), and the Press Information Department (PID), along with committees in the provinces in their respective health, education, revenue and housing ministries.
