Facilitating students: Pak-China desk set up at UVAS

A large number of faculty members and students were also present

LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences’ (UVAS) Pharmacology and Toxicology Department has set up a Pak-China Desk at the City Campus.

On Wednesday, UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha said the objectives of establishing the desk at the UVAS were to facilitate students regarding opportunities of funding and higher education in China, develop a close liaison with the Chinese embassy in Lahore for promotional material from Chinese universities and industry, enhance student and faculty exchange between China and Pakistan, promote research collaboration in the field of livestock and related sectors, conduct seminars in areas of mutual interest and promote Chinese culture and language at the UVAS.

Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, Prof Dr SHI Zhengli inaugurated the Pak-China Desk. A large number of faculty members and students were also present.
