CJP directs authorities to block his fake social media accounts

Don't use Facebook, any other social media platform, clarifies Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali

ISLAMABAD: Taking notice of numerous social media accounts in his name, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Anwar Zaheer Jamali maintained on Thursday that he neither uses Facebook nor has any page on any social media platform.

According to the apex court's spokesperson, the CJP has directed the Federal Investigation Agency, and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to block all such pages, IDs created in his name, and initiate legal action against the delinquents.



Under the recently passed cybercrime bill, the FIA has carried out multiple arrests, many of them involving those who managed fake Facebook profiles.
