SUKKUR: Two men and a woman were killed in two attacks late Monday night.

Shaikh community’s Sardar Bux Shaikh was on his way to his village, Siyano Shaikh, from Ghotki. Near Khan Goth, three unidentified armed men, who were hiding in the bushes, opened fire at him and killed him.

When the members of the Shaikh community found out, several of them took up their weapons and raided the Bhoral Shaikh village near Pannu Aqil. They opened indiscriminate firing at the residents, in which Badal Shaikh, 30, and his sister-in-law Farzana, 20, were killed. The residents fired back but the attackers managed to escape unharmed.

Pannu Aqil police moved the bodies to the taluka hospital for an autopsy. However, no case was registered.

Meanwhile, the Ghotki police registered a case against seven members of the Shaikh community on the complaint of Hoat Shaikh, the uncle of the deceased Sardar Bux.
