He was addressing the inaugural session of the country’s first International Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) conference, at a local hotel in Islamabad. The conference was organized by National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC).
The minister in his address added that the TVET sector faced certain deprivations but the incumbent government is paying special attention to technical education along with traditional education.
Delegates from 15 countries including Australia, Great Britain, China, Malaysia, Tajikistan, Iran, Belarus, Korea, Germany, Philippines, Turkey and Sri Lanka attended the conference.
Country head of GIZ Ms Julie appreciated the reforms being made in the technical training sector under NAVTTC in Pakistan.
NAVTTC thanked GIZ for their support in organising the conference. He said that the recommendation will be conveyed to all the stakeholders.
