Filmmaker Ali Kapadia recently screened some of his movies at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (IVSAA) and The Second Floor (T2F). One of the films played was on a poem “Tum Yeh Kehto Ho Ke Ab Koee” by Faiz Ahmed Faiz, which featured a sequence of stills depicting a battleground with recitation of the poem provided by Zia Mohiuddin.

Kapadia made use of plastic army men and little toy structures to shoot the two minute video, the pictures of which can be viewed here.

The filmmaker has made a number of other short films and currently works at a Silicon Valley company in San Francisco in the United States.

Not only did the video receive appreciation at the venue, but it has also been shared on numerous blog posts, which is why it is the video of the day for The Express Tribune.
