Criminal elements: Recent burglaries worry small traders
All this lawlessness is being witnessed when the Karachi operation is in full swing
KARACHI:
The All Pakistan Organisation of Small Traders and Cottage Industries has expressed grave concern over the growing number of burglaries in Karachi and demanded the provincial government to take notice of shutter-cutting theft incidents. The organisation’s Karachi president, Mehmood Hamid, said the thefts in the auto parts market of Tibet Centre, Urdu Bazaar and now Empress Market within a span of 20 days is a matter of grave concern and has created a wave of panic and unrest among the small traders. He said all this lawlessness is being witnessed when the Karachi operation is in full swing.
