Talking to APP, a PBCC official said the participation of the national team in the World Blind T20 depends on the permission from the government.

"If the situation remains the same, as it is nowadays between both the countries, then it is likely that the team won't be participating in the event," the official said.
“However, at our end we are fully prepared for the mega event. We have shortlisted 20 players out of which 16 will make their way into the final squad," he added.

The official further added that as a part of preparation for the mega event a Twenty20 Cup will be held in Islamabad F9 Park from October 17 to 21.
"As many as six teams from Lahore, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Peshawar, Kashmir and Islamabad will participate in the tournament," he said.

The World Blind T20 will be held in India in January next year.
